Oh my goodness. I recently finished reading Erin Morgenstern's debut novel, The Night Circus, and absolutely adored it!
You may already be familiar with the title, as it has received a wealth of positive press; even though it was only released this past September, there is already a movie deal under way (which I cannot wait for, obviously!). This dark, magical story focuses on two star-crossed magicians who have been pitted against one another in a duel of creativity, talent, and sheer stamina. Their struggle--and burgeoning love--is painted against the backdrop of Le Cirque des Reves, a fantastical traveling circus that defies imagination and ensnares passionate devotees.
