Happy Sunday!

Last summer, my honey and I did a fun engagement shoot in upstate New York with our uber-talented wedding photographer, Alicia Clark of Clark+Walker Studio. I was browsing through some of the images again today while working on wedding plans, and thought I should share.

Over the years, Vince and I have made a habit of gifting each other special editions of our favorite novels, so we decided to incorporate some of these into the shoot. In the image above, I am holding an Easton Press limited edition of Pride and Prejudice, which Vince gave me for Christmas two years ago. We also brought along a quilt that my mother and I made together, adding another sweet memento (and a comfortable place to sit!). These personal elements helped transform an already-memorable experience into something truly reflective of our personalities, and allowed both Vince and I to feel more at-home in front of the camera.
